Chaos in San Juan?

Donald Trump isn't the only thing causing problems in San Juan. Despite being in first place, Stephen Eh Smith is hearing that there could be some major shakeups in the Land of the Lost (power).

Rosters Unleashed: 10 EHCC Players on the Move By the Trade Deadline

With Rio de Janeiro on the cusp of being eliminated from playoff contention, could Matt Kemp be on the move soon?

Rosters Unleashed: 10 EHCC Players on the Move By the Trade Deadline
By Skip Clifton, San Diego Chronicle

July is where magic happens in the EHCC. In 2017, 8 trades were made during the month, 4 of which involved the eventual champion Quebec City Piglets. In 2016, 15 deals were made in July and August, 6 by the Las Vegas Doggs (who, surprise, won the title that year).

However, not only champions are made at the trade deadline. Dynasties are also built, from mediocre teams looking toward the future or last-place ones hoping for an edge. From 1st place to 12th, every team is looking for a edge… toward a 2018 championship, or the 2019 season.

Here are 10 players that could, and honestly SHOULD, be on the move this July:

1 - SS Addison Russell/Trevor Story/Jean Segura, Dublin Snake Chasers
Dublin’s outfield is currently loaded with talent, which means the team has 2 spots available for 3 talented shortstops. With one of the best offenses in the league, not to mention a pitching staff that includes 3 of the top 10 starters, holding on to 3 of the best at the position is just reckless. There are three or four teams that could use a starting SS, and the Snake Chasers have at LEAST one to spare.

2 - OF Matt Kemp, Rio de Janeiro Cristos
Rio is not TECHNICALLY out of the running for a title this year yet, but it’s not looking good. A solid hitter like Kemp, albeit 33 years old and a lot of miles on his tires, would be a fantastic find for a contender and could net the Cristos something to help them in 2019. The alternative is fine for them as well, Kemp still has a couple more years of quality production left, but it may be time to start preparing for the next few years.

3 - SP Mike Leake, Las Vegas Doggs
I think someone needs to let the Doggs know that just because you make a trade for a player does not mean you have to keep them. Mike Leake is like a rich British kid sent to live with poor hippies in upstate New York that live out of their VW van… sure, there’s hope that it’ll be like a blockbuster movie and the British kid learns about the true nature of life and humanity, and the hippies better themselves and go back to college or something, but we all know how this story will really end. Starting Pitchers do NOT belong in Las Vegas… gross.

4 - SP Taijuan Walker, Weymouth Shaddupu
It’s no surprise that Weymouth is a perennial championship contender: A strong offense built around a philosophy of finding young talent that can develop until needed, a top-heavy pitching staff that allows over-achievers to produce when needed but not need to carry the load, and a bullpen that only needs 2-3 guys earning 30-40 saves. So, when a young promising talent like Taijuan Walker ends up on the DL long-term, he becomes an expendable piece that can be sent to a young team looking for a cheap arm. While the DL spot he currently occupies isn’t needed for anyone else, it may soon and that spot could be used for a fill-in hitter on an off day or a spot-start SP. The idea that Weymouth may be able to get something of value now for him may be too good to pass up, even if it’s a 2019 draft pick.

5 - 2019 1st Round Draft Pick, Quebec City Piglets
Speaking of draft picks, even though this is not technically a player, it’s definitely a valuable asset. For a team that has arguably the top pitching staff in the league, and an above-average offense that can win runs and steal every week, there really is little that the Piglets need. However, there are plenty of teams that are prepared to think about 2019 and any 1st round pick (even one near the end of the round) could land the Piglets a power hitter to push them over the edge.

6 - 2B Robinson Cano, Las Vegas Doggs
Like Weymouth and Taijuan Walker, Las Vegas is at a point where they either need to cut the dead weight and get something of value ASAP, or ride it out and go outright tank. Cano has averaged 151 games over the past 13 seasons, so he is either on his way toward retirement or strictly DH status. Since he’s currently in the midst of an 80-game suspension, he may be able to fetch the Doggs SOMETHING of value while he still can. There are a couple title contenders that have a roster spot available to waste on him for a bit, and may be a great power-hitting asset for the playoff run.

7 - SP Yu Darvish, Santo Domingo All-Star Factory
While it may seem like this article has a trend of teams sending away injured players, this one actually makes great sense. Darvish was a great addition to Santo Domingo’s roster, but he also has a long history of injuries that may finally be frustrating management. A healthy Darvish may have helped the team to more than just 1 league championship, but since he averaged just 166 innings between 2012-2017 (not counting 2015, which he missed completely) it may be time to move on.

8 - 2018 Minor League Draft Picks, Tijuana Hispanics
Oh, nevermind, they traded those away last summer for a 33 year old 3B who’s hitting .245.

8 - 2019 Minor League Draft Picks, Tijuana Hispanics
Wait, they traded those away too? For a closer? Good lord…

9 - SP Shohei Ohtani, San Fernando Valley Jets
This sounds a bit crazy, a young team trading away the best 2-way player in the league right now, but Ohtani’s stock will never be higher than it is right now. With an underwhelming offense, a pitching staff that is Luis Severino and a bunch of nobodies, and a non-existent bullpen, the payload that the Jets could get for the 24-year old would be high. Ohtani is a hot commodity right now, and that could go down as he gets more IP, so it may be the perfect time to replenish the rest of the roster.

10 - SP Michael Pineda, San Juan Guerites
How does a team in first place better themselves? Take a young 29-year old power pitcher, who is coming off Tommy John surgery, who won’t be ready to play until late August at the EARLIEST, on a team that already has all 4 DL spots occupied, and move him to a team out of contention for something for the now. San Juan’s offense has been fantastic, but they have no bench hitters at the moment… another hitter who could slide in on off days would be extremely valuable for them in a playoff series (an extra run or rbi here or there helps big time). Their pitching staff has been “good enough across the board” this year, but who’s to say that one more RP wouldn’t help them in a series, or even an average SP to get them a few more strikeouts each week. Sitting on Pineda probably won’t hurt them, but if they’re serious about making a run against Weymouth or Quebec City, they’ll need that extra boost no matter how small.

Trade deadlines are where champions are made, and dynasties are built. Which direction will your team be headed in August 2nd?

2018 EHCC All-Star Extravaganza Semi-Live Blog

Welcome to the 2018 EHCC All-Star Extravaganza! This year we come to you semi-live from beautiful San Juan, Puerto Rico. Hey, if the Twins can host a game or two there, so can we.

2018 EHCC All-Star Extravaganza Semi-Live Blog
By: Max Powers

First off let's meet the players. Here are the starting line ups for each division

EAST
1.) Michael Brantly (SFV) - OF
2.) Kris Bryant (RAK) - 3B
3.) Manny Machado (SJ) - SS
4.) Mike Trout (WEY) - OF
5.) JD Martinez (SJ) - DH
6.) Freddie Freeman (WEY) - 1B
7.) Aaron Judge (BRW) - OF
8.) Justin Upton (LV) - OF
9.) Jose Abreu (RAK) - IF
10.) Didi Gregorius (BRW) - 2B
11.) Mike Moustakas (LV) - DH
12.) Travis Shaw (SFV) - C

Ozzie Albies was named a starter for Rakeville, but with his demotion to the ESSEC Jose Abreu takes his place in the starting line up, and forces Didi Gregorius to move over to play second base. Travis Shaw volunteered to catch, what a nice guy.

WEST
1.) Mookie Betts (DUB) - OF
2.) Jose Ramirez (SD) - 2B
3.) Jose Altuve (TKO) - IF
4.) Nolan Arenado (TKO) - 3B
5.) Paul Goldschmidt (TIJ) - 1B
6.) George Springer (QC) - OF
7.) Javier Baez (TIJ) - DH
8.) Francisco Liriano (QC) - SS
9.) Nomar Mazara (SD) - OF
10.) Jean Segura (DUB) - DH
11.) Mitch Haniger (RIO) - OF
12.) Scooter Gennett (RIO) - C

With a excess of middle infielders, the Western Division was forced to make some difficult decisions. Scooter Gennett pulled the short straw and was forced to start at catcher for the west, but he plays almost every other position so he'll probably be fine right?

Pitching staffs for each division:

EAST
Jacob deGrom (BRW)
Patrick Corbin (BRW)
Blake Snell (RAK)
Aaron Nola (RAK)
Kyle Gibson (SJ)
Charlie Morton (SJ)
Max Scherzer (WEY)
Carlos Carrasco (WEY)
Tyler Skaggs (SFV)
Luis Severino (SFV)
Bud Norris (LV)
Arodys Vizcaino (LV)
--
Edwin Diaz (BRW)
Aroldis Chapman (SJ)

Rookie Blake Snell headlines a pretty young eastern division staff. They will have to work extra hard to win the standard counting stats (W and K) however, with the Doggs sending two relievers as their "SP" representatives. They may have an edge in Saves, but a 2 for 1 trade in stats isn't going to help them win this one-week match up.

WEST
Gerrit Cole (TKO)
Lance McCullers Jr (TKO)
Justin Verlander (SD)
Jose Berrios (SD)
Jack Flaherty (RIO)
Mike Clevinger (RIO)
Corey Kluber (QC)
James Paxton (QC)
Chris Sale (DUB)
Jameson Taillon (DUB)
Trevor Bauer (TIJ)
Ross Stripling (TIJ)
--
Sean Doolittle (QC)
Brad Hand (TIJ)

Overall, a much more experienced staff in the Wesstern division. Jameson Taillon gets the replacement nod for Stephen Strassburg who went on the Dl recently. After frustrating the crap out of the Piglets for a long time, Trevor Bauer figured out how to pitch well enough for Tijuana to get him the All-Star nod.

Follow along with updates as the week progresses.....

--------

Day 1 - Monday, June 18th

Typically the first day is a time for players to get warmed up and take it slow. Not the case this year. After a full day of play the score is pretty tight at 3-4-3, with the Eastern Division pushing forward with solid pitching and the Western Division, while holding their own on that side, taking the majority of the hitting categories.

Justin Upton put the east on the board with a dong, but shortly thereafter western division 1B Paul Goldschmidt answered back with a dong of his own. Both lines ups were running out of the gate, collecting 2 stolen bases on the day each - Aaron Judge and Michael Brantley for the East and Jose Altuve and Jose Ramirez for the West.

Trevor Bauer and Jason deGrom shined for their respective divisions. Bud Norris sprinkled more on top with a scoreless inning, but it was Gerrit Cole who let up 4 earned runs in 7 innings that brought the West down in the pitching ratios.

The West still leads 4-3 after Day 1.
Hitter of the Day: Jose Altuve (3/4, 2 R, 1 SB)
Pitcher of the Day: Trevor Bauer (7 IP, W, 8 K, 0.00 ERA, 0.71 WHIP)

-----

Day 2 - Tuesday, June 19th

Mark it down, this is how the West won. Or maybe the East just decided not to show up. On the day the East hit .240 with no dongs, while the West took advantage even with Jose Altuve sitting out, lead by Nolan Arenado's 3 RBI night with a .333 average, 2 dongs, and a stolen base.

But it was their pitching that really separated the field. The West threw 5 starters and both closers totaling 34.2 IP, while only giving up 10 ER. Lead by RIO's Mike Clevinger with his 10 K and zero ER through 7.2 IP. Clevinger was the only starter to record an actual Win however. QC's Sean Doolittle recorded the West's first Save for either side and Chris Sale and Justin Verlander each recorded double digit strikeouts on the day.

The East only sent out youngster Blake Snell, who held his own and represented his division well enough with 6 K through 7 IP and putting up a W for the East. Their bats failed to record any homers on the day and were lead by Kris Byant's double header production (3/10, 1 R, 2 RBI).

The West now leads 7-1 after Day 2.
Hitter of the Day: Nolan Arenado (3/5, 2 R, 1 HR, 3 RBI)
Pitcher of the Day: Mike Clevinger (7.2 IP, W, 10 K, 1.17 ERA, 0.91 WHIP)

East -- 3 R, 1 HR, 10 RBI, 2 SB, .263 AVG, 2 W, 1 SV, 15 K, 1.06 ERA, 1.12 WHIP
West -- 8 R, 3 HR, 12 RBI, 4 SB, .329 AVG, 2 W, 1 SV, 61 K, 2.59 ERA, 1.01 WHIP

Day 3-7 - Wednesday, June 20th through Sunday, June 24th

How time flies. I did warn you this was a very semi-live blog after all. Ok, here's a recap.

Wednesday is really the start of the end (spoiler alert) of the entire event. Maybe that's why I failed to bother to update every day. Maybe I was on a bender. Maybe it was a bit of both, who's the say really? Anyway, Wednesday was the start of the end. Charlie Morton gave the East life with a 6 inning scoreless outing, and that's where the life ended. Jose Altuve led the day with 2 homers for the West, followed by 4 other dogs and 3 stolen bags on the day. The West ended the day with 13 runs scored and 10 RBI to go along with it, against the East's 4 R, 1 HR, and 4 RBI.

Hitter of the Day: Jose Altuve (3/4, 2 R, 2 HR, 2 RBI)
Pitcher of the Day: Corey Kluber (7.0 IP, W, 7 K, 0.00 ERA, 0.29 WHIP)

Thursday was a bit more even. Aaron Judge and Travis Shaw lead the East with a combined line of 3/7, 2 R, 1 HR, and 4 RBI. The East actually had three pitchers going on the day, and the worst one got the only win. Luis Severino let up 3 ER over 5.2 IP, but still got the win for the East, while Kyle Gibson and Max Scherzer both went 6 and 7 IP respectively and each gave up 2 ER, but neither receive the W.

All the while the West was trying to do favors to the East with James Paxton imploding for 10 H+BB and 4 ER over 5 IP. They somehow still provided the most offensive firepower via Nolan Arrenado's 2 for 4, 5 RBI, 1 HR night and Mookie Betts' 3 for 6 night, with a solo dong.

Hitter of the Day: Nolan Arrenado (2/4, 1 R, 1 HR, 5 RBI)
Pitcher of the Day: Max Scherzer (7.0 IP, 9 K, 2.57 ERA, 0.86 WHIP)

Friday saw the East treading water. While as a team they went 10 for 53 on the night (.189 average for those that don't want to grab your calculator), they still found a way to collect some pop - Namely from just two guys. JD Martinez and Manny Machado collected 6 of the teams 10 hits on the day, 2 of which went yard. They each found a way to steal a base on top of it. Jose Abreu, who was only at the event because he was taking the place of the demoted Ozzie Albies (who demotes an all-star the day before the all star game?), wasn't helping with his 0 for 8 showing on the day.

The West kept pace with 11 R, 2 HR, and 7 RBI of their own, lead by, yup, you guessed it, Nolan Arrenado, who went 3 for 4, with a 2 run bomb on the day. Jose Ranirez only registered one at bat, but found a way to steal a base anyway.

Each division only saw one starter go and both of them shined by going 7 IP, striking out 12 or more, and each only allowing 3 H+BB. Patrick Corbin for the East and Jack Flaherty for the West brought it tonight, but neither of them could walk away victorious as they both recorded no-decisions on the day.

Hitter of the Day: JD Martinez (4/5, 3 R, 1 HR, 5 RBI, 1 SB)
Pitcher of the Day: Patrick Corbin (7.0 IP, 12 K, 0.00 ERA, 0.43 WHIP)

OK, we've only got two more days to recap left. Bare with me.

If the East thought that Wednesday was bad, they didn't know Saturday was possible. With Kris Bryant sitting out, the East had 5 players fail to record even one hit. Jose Abreu, perhaps trying to make up for his terrible day prior, recorded the ONLY RBI for the East on the day. On top of that, though I'm sure one could argue otherwise, Bud Norris may have been the East's best pitcher on the day since he actually recorded a stat that mattered (a Save). Ok, fine, Aaron Nola went 6 IP, letting up 2 ER and 7 H+BB and got a Win. That's good for something I guess.

The West saw an opportunity and ran with it. While the East bats were sleeping, the West looted the cookie jar, combining for the EXACT same batting average (both teams went 9 for 39 on the day, but made much more use of those 9 hits - scoring 10 R to the East's 2, hitting 2 dongs to the East's zero, and batting in 9 RBI to the East's one. Anyone still bothering to pay attention here?

Oh, and the West's pitching was better too. Shocker.

Hitter of the Day: Francisco Liriano (2/4, 2 R, 1 HR, 1 RBI)
Pitcher of the Day: Trevor Bauer (6.1 IP, 11 K, 1.42 ERA, 1.05 WHIP)

Finally, Sunday. I can almost go home.

Francisco Liriano and Jose Ramirez help put the nails in the coffin going a combined 6 for 9 with 5 R, 2 HR, 3 RBI, and a SB on the day. Justin Upton and Michael Brantly try to answer back for the East, combining for a 5 for 10 day, with 2 R, 1 HR, 3 RBI, 2 SB. Ya, I know, it wasn't enough. Shhh, you're going to spoil the ending.

Oh, this is fun. The West had 5 pitchers combine for a 1.33 ERA and a 0.89 WHIP over 20.1 IP, while recording 35 K, 3 W and a Save. Hopefully the East had something up their sleeve you say? As it turned out, the East ripped off their sleeves to make themselves look 'cool', and decided to keep everyone in the bullpen.

Hitter of the Day: Jose Ramirez (3/4, 2 R, 1 HR, 1 RBI, 1 SB)
Pitcher of the Day: Chris Sale (7.0 IP, 13 K, 0.00 ERA, 0.71 WHIP)*

*For what it's worth, Jose Berrios had the EXACT same line minus one strikeout. Better luck next time Jose.

Conclusion:

Player superlatives:

Why Did I Bother Showing Up: Travis Shaw (2 for 12, 1 R, 2 RBI) and Jean Segura (1 for 8)

Can't Buy A Win: Patrick Corbin (7 IP, 12 K, 0.00 ERA, 0.43 WHIP) and Justin Verlander (6.2 IP, 10 K, 1.35 ERA, 1.05 WHIP)

What's a Closer?: Brad Hand (2.1 IP, 11.57 ERA, 1.71 WHIP) and Edwin Diaz (1 IP, 18.00 ERA, 3.00 WHIP)

You Didn't Want Me In There Anyway: Arody Vizcaino, Carlos Carrasco, Tyler Skaggs - who each failed to pitch even once the entire week.

Final Score:
West 8
East 1

Runs - East 29 vs West 55
HR - East 6 vs West 18
RBI - East 37 vs West 56
SB - East 7 vs West 9
AVG - East .246 vs West .320
W - East 6 vs West 7
SV - East 3 vs West 3
ERA - East 2.35 vs West 2.41
WHIP - East 1.14 vs West 0.95

Stats that don't directly count:
H - East 69 vs West 79
AB -  East 280 vs West 247
IP - East 65 vs West 108.1
ER - East 17 vs West 29
H+BB - East 74 vs West 103

Offensive MVP: Jose Ramirez (7/17, 8 R, 2 HR, 5 RBI, 4 SB)
Runner up: Nolan Arrenado (11/29, 7 R, 5 HR, 13 RBI, 0 SB)

Pitching MVP: Trevor Bauer (13.1 IP, 2 W 19 K, 0.68 ERA, 0.90 WHIP)
Runner Up: Chris Sale (14.0 IP, 1 W, 24 K, 1.29 ERA, 0.64 WHIP)

Well that was embarrassing.

2018 EHCC Home Run Derby Semi-Live Blog

Everybody ready for some dongs?

The 2018 EHCC Home Run Derby is underway and we've got some big names participating in this year's competition. It should be a doozy.

2018 EHCC Home Run Derby Semi-Live Blog

By: Max Powers

JD Martinez leads the bunch heading into the competition hitting a league-leading 21 dingers for the Guerites of San Juan. Joining him from Puerto Rico is teammate Kris Davis (17) and Manny Machado (18). Shaddupu will send along bashers Mike Trout and Bryce Harper, who each come in with 19 dongs of their own. Rounding out the Eastern Division representation is Aaron Judge from Bridgewater, who comes in with 18 long balls. No surprise, the bottom three teams in the East failed to register a top 6 power bat for the competition, and so team leaders Justin Upton (LV), Ozzie Albies (RAK), and Travis Shaw (SFV) will just have to watch the EHCC.tv live stream from their couch.

The Western Division comes with slightly more diverse competition, with four teams sending representation. Jose Ramirez from Santo Domingo leads the change with 19 round trippers on the season. Joining him from the Dominican will be Christian Villanueva, who was cut by the All-Star Factory and resigned to a more favorable contract a few days later. He comes in with 15 dongs on the year. Quebec City will send along teammates Edwin Encarnacion (16) and CJ Cron (15). Cron was a late addition to the competition, literally signing back on with the Piglets just so he could play. It's fully expected he'll be cut as soon as the competition is over. Joey Gallo (17) makes his return to the competition, being the soul representation of the long lost Tokyo franchise. Mookie Betts, a last second addition, rounds out the division, representing Dublin with 17 dongs on the year. Tijuana leader Javier Baez (14) barely missed the cut after Betts returned from his injury at the last second, and Rio De Janerio, while Rio's leader, Mitch Haniger (13) didn't come close to making the list

And, for the first time, we have a Free Agent representing in the derby. As is customary, the previous year's Derby winner gets an automatic invitation to the following year as long as he's still playing MLB baseball. Logan Morrison will be the 13th player, coming in with a whopping 7 home runs on the season. Good luck Logan.

--------

Day 1 - Monday June 11

The Monday of the derby is historically boring, with a good chunk of the players deciding to take their time to show up to the event. Why doesn't anyone take this seriously?

Looks like this year isn't any different, with the only competitor to actually hit the ball out being Mike Trout. Luckily, we did get to see two home runs on the day, unfortunately for everyone else they both came from Trout. Only three other players even registered a hit on the first day (Betts, Ramirez, and Villanueva).

Current Leaderboard:
Trout - 2 HR
Villanueva - 1 H, 1 BB
Betts - 1 H
Ramirez - 1 H
Martinez - 1 BB
Everyone else - 0 everything

--------

Day 2 and 3 - Tuesday June 12 and Wednesday June 13

Rounding out the first round we start to see some actual action. Going into the final two days everyone was chasing Mike Trout's 2 home runs from day 1. Not to be outdone, Mike Trout himself pounded two more bombs on Tuesday to raise the bar ever higher.

Teammate Bryce Harper sulked in the corner and basically gave up after seeing his teammate cement his ticket to the next round, and only accounted for two walks in the entire first round. CJ Cron was the only other contestant to fail to record even one hit in the same time, but that's not to say we saw a whole lot of dongs in the first round beyond Trout's four. The only other players to record a homer was Kris Davis, who went yard twice himself, JD Martinez and Mookie Betts, who each record a single yak.

After that it comes down to everyone's favorite aspect of the Homerun Derby - TIEBREAKERS. With no triples being recorded in the first three days, it came down to doubles hit by Aaron Judge (2) and Jose Ramirez (1). Encarnacion, Morrison, Gallo, Machado, and Villanueva failed to record any extra base hits, making the tie breakers a bit easier to swallow this time around.

Current Leaderboard:

1.) Mike Trout - 4 HR
2.) Khris Davis - 2 HR
3.) JD Martinez - 1 HR, 2 H, 4 BB
4.) Mookie Betts - 1 HR, 2 H, 1 BB
5.) Aaron Judge - 2 2B
6.) Jose Ramirez - 1 2B
-----
7.) Christian Villanueva - 1 H, 2 BB, 1 RBI
8.) Manny Machado - 1 H, 2 BB, 0 RBI
9.) Logan Morrsion - 1 H, 1 BB
10.) Joey Gallo - 1 H, 0 BB, 2 RBI
11.) Edwin Encarnacion - 1 H, 0 BB, 1 RBI
12.) CJ Cron - 2 BB, 0 RBI
13.) Bryce Harper - 2 BB, 0 RBI

--------

Day 4 - Thursday June 14

With the field cut down to six, it makes collecting stats so much easier. It also makes it easier when the top dog in the competition is so confident that he takes a day off completely, which is exactly what Mike Trout did, deciding to sit out the first day of round 2. Mookie Betts also basically took the day off, failing to record even one hit. Jose Ramirez and Khris Davis helped their cause by each going long, while Aaron Judge and JD Martinez collected two hits each, but none of them went far enough to get them past first base.

Current Leaderboard:

1.) Mike Trout - 4 HR
2.) Khris Davis - 3 HR
3.) Jose Ramirez - 1 HR, 1 2B
---
4.) JD Martinez - 1 HR, 0 2B, 4 H
5.) Mookie Betts - 1 HR, 0 2B, 2 H
6.)Aaron Judge - 0 HR, 2 2B

--------

Day 5 - Friday June 15

Crickets. No home runs, only one extra base hit, but it wasn't enough. The standings don't change and the top 3 move on

1.) Mike Trout - 4 HR
2.) Khris Davis - 3 HR
3.) Jose Ramirez - 1 HR, 1 2B
---
4.) JD Martinez - 1 HR, 0 2B, 6 H
5.) Mookie Betts - 1 HR, 0 2B, 4 H
6.) Aaron Judge - 0 HR, 3 2B

--------

Day 6 and 7 - Final Round - Saturday June 16 and Sunday June 17

When you hit four homers in the first 2 days I guess it's ok to take the remainder of the contest off. Jose Ramirez tried to make some noise with the Final round's only dong, but Kris Davis stayed quiet, allowing Mike Trout to coast to victory in this one. Congrats.

1.) Mike Trout - 4 HR
2.) Khris Davis - 3 HR
3.)Jose Ramirez - 2 HR

You'd think JD Martinez and Manny Machado would be holding them up, but it's actually been their exceptional pitching. Through the first 9 weeks SJ's bats account for a 29-12-4 (.689) record, where as their pitching staff accounts for a 31-9-5 (.744) record. #pitchingwinschampionships

Taking out the elongated Week 1, the Weasels have only hit double digit homeruns in 2 of the remaining 8 weeks. But wait, they got Josh Donaldson. #theyllbefine

The fastest team in the league (63 stolen bases, 1st place) is also the weakest (70 home runs; 12th place). If only they had a power hitting infielder they could add for a spark on both sides. #freestory

After two straight dissapointing outcomes, the Doggs have already started the "seller" rumor mill. If they can't take advantage of match ups against TKO and RIO in the coming weeks it should be a lock to start selling, and not waiting for the deadline. #buyersbeware

They may not have the worst record, but they are still on pace for the lowest win percetage in EHCC history (as is Rakeville), but not most losses. #sotheresthat
