Baseball Tri-Weekly: EHCC Championships Tale of the Tape

By Aviator McShadeless

This is the moment we've all been waiting for. The EHCC Championships. After one of the hardest fought seasons in recent memory, two amazing teams remain. Both are coming off impressive wins, taking the long road and knocking out a pair of rusty bye squads.

Below is a breakdown of each position and which squad holds the advantage.

Catcher - Santo Domingo
While Yadier has been hot over the last month, Sanchez will most definitely be a factor in this game. The kid has already blasted the second longest dong of the season and is hoping to hit the longest before the end of this series.

First Base - Quebec City
I spoke to Edwin after the Piglets big win over the Hispanics, and he said he hated that Joey Votto was on the team now, but it has pushed him to perform better. I'll take those two competing against each other over Healy.

Second Base - Santo Domingo
This is ridiculous that Rizzo is playing second base, and it could be a contributing factor for the All Star Factory making the title game. Cano has arguably been the best second baseman in the game, yet he loses this matchup. Not good for the Piglets.

Third Base - Quebec City
Rendon may have started off rocky, but he has come back in full force. Bregman's performance has fallen off a cliff here in the playoffs, and the pressure doesn't let up moving forward.

Shortstop - Santo Domingo
Like it or not, Trea Turner could be an x-factor in this series. His speed and his versatility have been a huge help in the first two rounds, and despite Lindor's prolific performance to this point, I'll take Turner with Billy Hamilton on the DL.

Outfield - Santo Domingo
The best Piglet outfielder in these playoffs has been waiver wire pickup Pham. That won't cut it against CarGo and his crew of musclemen. I was able to confirm that Wil Myers built a treehouse in the offseason where he has tea with stuffed animals. One of those stuffed animials was a pig. It wasn't invited to the tea party this week. He is in the zone!

Relief Pitchers - Santo Domingo
Not that I like anyone in their bullpen. It's better than the Piglets, but far from the weapon it needs to be to counteract QC's starters.

Starting Pitching - Quebec City
As a former starting pitcher myself, I think... [TRADE: Quebec City receives Aviator McShadeless, SP, Baseball Tri-Weekly receives two championship tickets (bleachers)]
