EHCC 2012 Performance
There's an old saying in baseball that it takes a third of season to figure out you really have, a third of a season to fix it and a third of a season to see what happens. Well, we're a third of the way through the 2012 fantasy baseball season and the results are in.
The following data has been compiled by placing our weekly head-to-head roto data into a weekly straight roto format. IE, each point category has been ranked 1-12 (12 being the best) on a weekly basis. This is intended to present a clearer picture of your team's actual performance this season as it matches all teams against each other for each week rather than up against just one other team.
The above graph shows each team in the league's individual weekly performance (click on the graph to see it larger). The top weekly scorer so far has been Tijuana who scored 99.5 out of a possible 120 points in week 3. The low weekly scorer was Rio in week 5 scoring 22 points (the lowest possible being 12).
The below chart gives you your average hitting, pitching and total points scored so far in the season. If your 'total rank' is lower than your actual yahoo rank than you've been statistically lucky and vice-versa. Going forward regression towards the mean is likely. Meaning that the larger the sample size gets the more likely your 'total rank' and actual yahoo rank will be the same.
Now that the results are in are you on the verge of being a buyer or a seller?
