Austin seals deal with Myrtle Beach

Myrtle Beach, SC - Alliteration aside, Marketing Mastermind Matt Austin has closed a deal that buys a large piece of land in Myrtle Beach to construct a minor league facility for his potential professional fantasy baseball club, The South Carolina Fighting Wrens.

The deal comes on the heels of the debut of the SCFW logo/merchandise earlier this week (already producing major cash flows). Myrtle Beach government officials called the deal "a great partnership for Mr. Austin and the community of Myrtle Beach".

The new minor league team, called the Myrtle Beach Tourists, would start operation in December if Austin's proposal to the EHCC Commissioner is approved. With both of Austin's other fantasy teams (South Carolina Rebels, Twin City Tech Red Raiders) in first place, Myrtle Beach hopes his EHCC minor league squad can draw mass appeal and add value to an already booming tourist attraction.

With rising stars such as David Price, Billy Rowell, Josh Vitters, and Austin Jackson already in the fold, Austin believes that "these are the building blocks than can make us a successful team for years. I'm not sure you guys realize this, but a move here - a move there - and we can compete in this thing". Austin's optimism obviously resonates with county officials, as they were all smiles at the Thursday mid-morning press conference.
