I think Mr. Backman should focus on managing his team more than he does on talking shit to Golden GM Mike Comtois. As he was too busy dealing with the media this week for a sitauation stemming from his career of inactivity and mediocrness his team received a ass-raping, for lack of a better word, by one of the worst teams in the league. I personally find this pretty funny when Backman was quoted earlier this week saying "I'm in second place last I looked, so I feel pretty good about making 2 trades."

Well last I looked Mr. Backman you were in 6th place, while the Gryphons are still near the top of the league.

Please keep talking shit to us, we feel it's better for our team.

Did anyone see that Lincecum start. You did if you love baseball. I really like the kid. He should be on the cover... in the background.

The way the beautiful jinxing has worked out over at Devil Tri-Weekly, I wouldn't mind seeing Torii Hunter on the June cover... hell, feel free to throw Prince Fielder and Troy Tulowitski in there as well.

Shouldn't Phillip Hughes be rehabbing? Shut the hell up. Nothing like a green rookie pitcher saying who is going to be good in the majors. Lincecum choked. He is terrible. Will everyone just deal with it.

A few days after Grady is featured on the Baseball Tri-Weekly Cover, Sports Illustrated put him on theirs. I think Tom Verducci is watching us.

It's true, the jinx was in play. And commenting to the media has usually been stricken as per team regulations. But I felt compelled to reply to such ridiculous claims as the Lincecum prophesy.

See you in the playoffs...
wally.
